The National Service Scheme unit of Sri Vasavi College has been a growing entity since its inception. From a single unit, three decades ago, it has now grown to accommodate 600 student members grouped into 4 units. Apart from this, students are sent individually and in groups to participate National level camps and social work. Blood donation, Donation to Gujarat earth quake relief fund, and National Integration Camps at Mudumalai are some of the recent laudable activities. The NSS unit also observes and celebrates all days of National and International importance like teachers day, women day, Human rights day, Independence day, Republic day, etc. Mr. K. Gunasekaran, Mr. N. Krishnamurthy, Mrs. S. S. Malathi and Ms. G. Malarvizhi are the NSS Programme Officers.
